Geoff Merrill and the Jimmy WatsonAustralia’s largest wine show and home of the nation’s most sought after wine award - the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy. The 2004 Awards attracted 4629 entries from 480 Australian wine makers. Each year the Royal Melbourne Wine Show competition culminates in the announcement of the championship trophies, including the renowned Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy, at the prestigious Presentation of Awards Dinner. The 2005 Presentation of Awards Dinner was held in the Ballroom at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne on Thursday, 11 August.
