Nøgne Ø means naked island, a poetic term used by Henrik Ibsen to describe the countless stark and barren outcroppings that are visible in the rough sea off Norway's southern coast. #100 is Nøgne Ø's hundredth batch, made for the enjoyment of the brewers themselves, but popular demand has made #100 commercially available. This malty, yet light bodied Ale has a massive hop bitterness. Most enjoyable in front of a roaring fire or over the weekend barbeque

Nogne O Imperial Stout 500ml

Nøgne Ø is situated in the town of Grimstad where Henrik Ibsen lived and wrote his classics. Norway's first microbrewery, Nøgne Ø were able to introduce boutique Beer culture to Norway. There was no India Pale Ale here before Nøgne Ø brewed it. No Porters, no Pale Ales and certainly no Stouts. Enter Imperial Stout, a dark, rich brew with generous sweetness and full roasted malt bitterness. Great over vanilla ice cream or alongside dark chocolate. The Czars of Russia enjoyed their Stouts and would have liked them made in just this way

Nogne O Pale Ale 500ml

Nøgne Ø make bottle conditioned Ale, real living Beers brewed from malt with top fermenting brewer's yeast that works rather quickly at high temperatures. This makes a more complex Beer, fruity and full bodied. Nøgne Ø do not filter their Beers, choosing to treat their brews to a second fermentation in the bottle from which it is served. Pale Ale is Nøgne Ø's best all rounder, a refreshing light and hoppy Ale, ideal alongside the barbeque or smoked meat dishes
