Jim Barry Silly Mid On Sauvignon Semillon 2008
Meet the Cover Drive’s girlfriend. Those who know cricket will be aware of the fielding position called Silly Mid On. Close to the batsman, requiring very good reflexes and always at risk of being struck by the ball off the bat. A delicious blend that includes Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon from the Clare Valley, along with Sauvignon Blanc from the Adelaide Hills. "Fruit driven, complex and punchy, with divine elements of straw, spice and lychee extending from nose to finish. A ripper white wine with a palate that's as summery as the packaging!" -Tastesofwines.com

Semillon grapes are sourced from the Jim Barry's own vineyards, whilst the Adelaide Hills fruit was provided courtesy of cricket loving associates. With its beautiful rolling hills, ideal winter rainfall and Mediterranean climate, the Jim Barry sites retain a unique history of winemaking heritage. Adelaide Hills is the eldest wine region in South Australia, one of the few regions anywhere in the country to enjoy four distinct seasons and has a reputation as one of Australia’s areas for Sauvignon Blanc. Silly Mid On is just as remarkable for it's masterful integration of components, as it is for the heightened aromatic profiles, smooth fresh palate, and clean refreshing finish. Alcohol 13.2%
Pale straw yellow in colour. It shows brashness and aromatic flavours of passionfruit, gooseberry and freshly mown grass with underlying nuances of herbs and spices. The palate is full of simplicity combined with dimension. It has a scaffold-like structure with a firm acid backbone, a melting pot of fruit flavours, guava, papaya, rockmelon, pineapple and lychee. Verbosity, big up front, natural fruit sweetness being dominant, unmistakable fruit, cardamom and lemongrass, coriander and curacao with a zesty finish. A wine to be enjoyed immediately while the primary fruit is still fresh and vibrant. "A stroke of minerality, cutting through the mid palate like an intermission, resting the tastebuds for the finale!" -Wineweekly.com.au

Jim Barry Armagh Shiraz 2005
Jim Barry Armagh Shiraz 2005 - Buy Australian & New Zealand Wines On Line Outstanding Langtons Classification. Armagh is amongst the most venerated of locations on the Irish mainland. St Patrick built his stone church there on a site where a cathedral still stands. Irish pioneers, settling the Clare Valley in 1849, were so inspired by the beauty of the land that they named the lush rolling hills after their home at County Armagh. "A dark multi-layered shiraz, with layers of fruit, minerals and a slightly briary savoury edge; has marked nervosity, power and depth; opens slowly, but has a long story to tell!" -Wine Companion.com.au

Jim Barry The Lodge Hill Shiraz 2008
Jim Barry The Lodge Hill Shiraz 2008 - Buy Australian & New Zealand Wines On Line When Jim Barry first purchased the Lodge Hill property, his intention was to devote the entire area to white grapes. While Jim was conducting a soil analysis, he recognised his good fortune, discovering a very different soil profile on a small north-facing slope. Jim Barry Three Little Pigs 2005
Jim Barry Three Little Pigs 2005 - Buy Australian & New Zealand Wines On Line Each year, winemaker Peter Barry takes delivery of three little pigs. Whilst these personable porkers exude charm and affability, Peter finds their contribution to the family’s famous Christmas hams of most interest. Three Little Pigs shows excellent depth of fruit and a solid structure, the palate is generous with a focal point of primarily blackberry, plum and sloe berries over the savouryness of oak and fine grained, talcy tannins. An excellent choice with good food, highly recommended with barbequed ribs, pork and gourmet bangers
