	Each $11.99 Dozen $143.88	Wolf Blass takes aim at formulating a splendid, everyday drinking Chardonnay wine that's long on fruit and has the substance to be called upon at any occasion. Vineyards are monitored closely throughout the growing season, vintage is determined at the precise moment that the Chardonnay grapes achieve full ripeness with the highest concentration of varietal characters. The grapes are night harvested to preserve the good flavours and crunchy acids. Following a gentle pressing, parcels are fermented in oak barrels. Portions are then treated to malolactic, followed by maturation under a mix of fine grained French oaks to soften the wine and derive further complexity. Approx 13.0%
	Pale straw with a green hue. The nose shows fresh citrus and melon with subtle, integrated spicy oak. Further fragarances of tropical fruits, mango and paw paw, peaches and vegetal, avocado and sweet pea. Soft and approachable palate with generous peach and grapefruit character on the palate, the fruit is supported by finely integrated French oak, finishing clean with generous length. Enjoy Red Label with a grilled trout/ macadamia/ bocconcini salad. Grey Label has always been produced from the best Cabernet Sauvignon fruit that Wolf Blass can source from good vineyards at Langhorne Creek. A cool dry growing and ripening season with below average rainfall meant that Australian Cabernets were fickle this year. Langhorne Creek faired better than most Cabernet growing districts, to deliver a Grey Label intensely flavoured and elegant, showing the hoped for concentration and richness which often eludes the noble varietal, under more unflattering conditions
