The unique flavour and colour of Aperol is achieved through a subtle blend of bitter orange, gentian (a digestive stimulant derived from roots), rhubarb and an array of herbs and roots, using a secret recipe that has been unchanged since it was first created in 1919. The lower alcohol content of 11% offers a light alternative to highly spirited cocktails. Serving Suggestions: The Aperol Fruit Cup: 30-45ml Aperol, pulp of 1 passionfruit, 1 lemon wedge, 1 lime wedge, 1 orange wedge, 1 cucumber slice. Build ingredients in a tall glass over cubed ice, top up with dry ginger, and garnish with a mint sprig. The Aperol Pink Grapefruit Double Agent: 45ml Aperol, 45ml pink grapefruit juice. Combine ingredients in a tall glass over cubed ice, top up with tonic water, and garnish with pink grapefruit slices fanned on top. The Fizzz: 30ml Aperol, 15ml Lemon juice. Build ingredients in a short glass over cubed ice, top up with soda water, and garnish with lemon peel

Bärenjäger was the first commercially produced moonshine Mead Meschkinnes, brewed from honey by beekeepers and farmers.
