Components from good vineyards have been assembled around a core of estate grown Scotchmans Hill Geelong fruit to achieve the consummate Italianate varietal wine in refreshing, new world styling. An intense expression of pear, guava and citrus, fleshy with a mineral backbone. It displays zesty pear and citrus characters, offers great intensity and varietal complexity before lingering on a clean flavoursome finish.

They attend to the Bellarine peninsula's finest terroirs, nurturing their vines to sprout some of Victoria's most articulate fruit. The team have assembled harvests of the most compatible Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc to be vinified into a refreshing post modern style, brimming with citrus, bright herbaceousness and a touch of quenching minerality. The pick of Margaret River's fruit is vinified into a finely honed Chardonnay wine with effusive stonefruit/ apple characters and brisk vegetative acidity, made even more attractive by a course of luxurious barrel ferments, adding texture and infusing the wine with warming vanilla spice. In Australia, there are fewer traditional stylistic conventions to the handling of Moscato, therefore flavoursome and refreshing versions can be crafted which trump the Europeans. T'Gallant fashions their Moscato to display the virtues of simple, high quality winemaking, picking the grapes at a moderate alcohol level, gentlly pressing and not messing about with the wine too much, practices which are all central to the T'Gallant philosophy.

Tahbilk Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Established circa 1860 on the Nagambie Lakes, Tahbilk is one of Australia's most scenic and historic wineries, with a long and proud history of producing one of Victoria's most reliable Cabernet Sauvignon. Following his return from service after World War II, Eric Purbrick discovered a cache of wine hidden in 1876 under the Tahbilk cellars. Though pale in colour, it was sound and drinkable after 71 years. The promise of long lived red wine inspired Purbrick to establish new plantings in 1949, today they are some of Victoria's oldest productive Cabernet Sauvignon vines.

Tahbilk Marsanne 2012

Tahbilk's history with Marsanne can be traced back to the 1860s when White Hermitage cuttings were sourced from the St Hubert Vineyard. The grapes in fact were Marsanne and although none of these plantings have survived, Tahbilk still produces Marsanne from ancient stock dating back to 1927, some of the oldest in the world. Marsanne has immense individuality of flavour, good body and well worth trying if you want something different. A long and distinguished succession of Tahbilk Marsanne vintages have claimed multi trophy and copious gold.
