	One of the greatest ever vintages for Margaret River Cabernet. The wine is distinguished by its fine, integrated, chalky tannins, supported by strong fruit flavours, refined textures and extended ageing in quality French oak. 	Each $49.99 Dozen $599.88	All grapes are harvested at the time of mother nature's choosing, when baume and natural sugar/ acid levels are deemed to be perfect, always differing from site to site. Components are fermented in open or upright fermenters, with regular pump overs or hand plunging. Fermentation is conducted with small amounts of the 796 Bordeaux yeast strain at temperatures kept below thirty degrees. Ferments last as long as fourteen days, before either being pressed or allowed to stay on skins for further texture and tannin modification. All wine is inoculated for malolactic fermentation in tank and is then transferred to barrel. Aged twenty four months under tight grain central forest French oak, with regular topping and racking
	Deep ruby with violet hues. Juicy dark fruits, cedar, chocolate and violet. Soft sweet fruits dominate the palate along with blood plums, dark cherries, blackberry, dark chocolate and cedar. As the wine opens up in the glass some vanillan wood characters, earth and tobacco start to develop on the back palate. An enduring style of Margaret River Cabernet Merlot. "This marque never disappoints. It has scents of mulberries, tobacco, leaf and minerals and brings silky cassis flavour to the front of the palate. Elements of ripe cherries, mint and herbs meld with vanillin oak on the middle palate and smooth dusty tannins assert themselves at the finish. Voyager is about the application of simple vineyard philosophies rather than the application of new technologies. There are a number of differences in viticultural techniques, but the basic vineyard principles common to the world's great wines are terroir, minimal intervention and vine management. "Although Voyager Estate is at the southern end of the Margaret River region, it avoids the herbaceous character that has bedeviled some of the neighbour’s wines.
