	Each $44.99 Dozen $539.88	Established by John Reynell in 1838, the Reynell winery enjoys the prestige as birthplace of South Australia's internationally renowned wine industry. Set on twenty one picturesque hectares at the gateway to McLaren Vale, this historic winery exudes classic charm with its restored heritage. The best Cabernet grapes were harvested and destemmed, crushed to four and seven tonne open fermenters for an eight to ten day period. Treated to regular hand plunging and pumping of juices over skins to gently extract colour, flavour and tannin from the fruit. The skins were then basket pressed to tank and the wine was racked into barriques to complete secondary fermentation. Matured in a combination of tightly grained oak barrels
	Vibrant dark purple with brilliant crimson hues. Lifted plum, ripe cherry with underlying aniseed and cigar box aromas, along with complex notes of cassis, black olive and violets. It is a very perfumed example of McLaren Vale Cabernet. The palate is powerful and textured, providing layers of cassis, plum and hints of mocha chocolate. Fine tannins complement the fruit flavour, whilst the acid structure provides a wine of great length and complexity. Spicy French oak complements the fruit richness, and leads into a lingering finish. "The bouquets here can't wait to get out of the bottle, a pandora's box (in a good way) of intoxicating fruit. Chateau Reynella is the birthplace of McLaren Vale Shiraz and the headquarters of Australia's preeminent winemaker. The original site, established by John Reynell in 1838, was the first commercial planting of wine grapes in South Australia. It is still productive today, yielding fruit which is processed at the original wineworks. The most exceptional vineyard parcels available to Hardy Wines which best represent the Chateau Reynella style have been assembled, a rich bold wine with great intensity of fruit, exemplary balance and silky tannins
