	An impressive red wine with a judicious portion of Malbec which serves to round out and soften, a continuation in the evolution of Shiraz along Margaret River and at Voyager Estate. The fantastic growing conditions and low yields make for an intense wine offering superb structure with luscious mid palate sweetness. The nose and palate here are tremendous, a mouthful of blood plum, blueberry and dark cherry flavours. 	Each $24.99 Dozen $299.88	Voyager's seven Shiraz blocks comprise five different clones, planted to some of the toughest, shallow, gravelly soils which reduce the inherent vigour of this variety. With the cooling sea breezes off the Indian Ocean and intensive viticultural management, including crop thinning and green thinning, the vines are sensitively managed to produce Shiraz grapes with impressive fruit characters. Small batch fermentation and soft winemaking techniques are employed to ensure the fruit aromatics are respected, that the fine tannins are preserved and intense colour is extracted from the grapes. The final wine is treated to twelve months maturation in a combination of French and American oak barrels. Alcohol 14.0%
	Dark crimson with vibrant purple hues. Lifted aromas of blackberry, blueberries and crème brulée over hints of dusty vanillin oak. A long and balanced mouthfeel with fantastic rich black fruits on the middle palate. Hints of spice and anise intertwine with sweet vanillin and cedary oak flavours, complemented by soft powdery tannins. Shanks, venison or moderately spiced mid eastern foods will match perfectly with the lifted spice and soft tannin structure. "Cool grown shiraz, with some wilder complexities. Intense, ripe aromas of black cherry, plum, spices and game meats, plus animal hide overtones. It tastes lovely and smooth, with fleshy texture and density.
