Rutherglen has a tradition of producing red wines of controlled power and solid structure with an equal measure of finesse. It remains one of Australia's leading winegrowing regions and is renowned throughout the world for its peerless fortifieds. Shiraz is sourced from choice Rutherglen vineyards managed by one of the region's most accomplished viticultural teams. Fruit is crushed and sent for a term of cold soak. Batches are treated to vinification in traditional open fermentation vats, hand plunged and pumped over for optimal extraction of colour, flavour and tannin. Upon completion of ferments, components are filled to oak for a course of malolactic and extended maturation.
