Originally a sheep station dating back to the 1800s, the fertile soils around Jamiesons Run now yield some of Australia's most treasured wines. A generously flavoured Cabernet Sauvignon with good depth of flavour and long finely textured finish.

The Jamiesons Run vineyards are endowed with outcrops of red soil that sit above a hard layer of limestone, unique terrains which encourage the development of intense characters in the fruit. Cabernet is harvested from low yielding vines up to thirty years of age. Single wire trellising and cooler conditions ensure the grapes maintain good varietal character and exceptional depth of flavour. Following the crush, fruit is treated to a gentle, controlled vinification and twice daily pumpovers in a combination of rotary and static fermenters to extract the rich Cabernet flavours. Following completion the wine is matured eleven months under a selection of French and American oak prior to assemblage and filtration. Alcohol 14.0%

Deep garnet red. Warm ripe lifted aromas of mulberry, cherry jam, choc-mint and mocha with a hint of light tobacco and fine cedary oak. Well defined lifted aromas. Medium bodied, finely structured palate showing good regional dark mulberry, cherry and black currant leaf. Good fruit flavours over layers of dark fruit cake, choc-mint and mocha oak. Fine slightly dusty savoury tannins blend together to contribute to the soft velvety textured palate. Soft and supple on release, to be enjoyed now alongside all good food.

Jamiesons Run Cabernet Shiraz Merlot 2010

Jamiesons Run are deeply rooted in the history of Limestone Coast and the Coonawarra. They have assembled parcels of their best fruit to construct the archetypal blended Aussie red. An easy to appreciate claret style, Cabernet Sauvignon contributes mulberry and blueberry fruit flavours while Shiraz gives ripe blackberry and dark cherry with subtle spice. The addition of Merlot brings sweet dark plum flavours and hints of chocolate, giving the wine lift and grace. Essential at your next bistrot lunch or barbeque, sizzling beef or warming casserole.

Since the early 1950s, Jamiesons Run have been at the forefront of viticulture, sourcing the best fruit from the finest Limestone Coast vineyards. Chardonnay is monitored throughout the season, earmarked by the winemaking team, parcels are selected on the basis of luscious stonefruit characters, physiological ripeness and refreshing acidity.

Jamiesons Run Country Selection Cabernet 2003

The fruit for this wine was harvested from mature low-yielding vines on the Jamiesons Run most northerly Coonawarra vineyards, and grower vineyards east of Penola. A warm and sunny vintage ensured the fruit developed ripe berry flavours, moderate acid and fine, ripe tannins, the vines produced small compact bunches of small berries with excellent colour and regional varietal flavours. The Country Selection Coonawarra is a rich, elegant and perfectly balanced Cabernet Sauvignon from a grand old winery, a splendid red to be enjoyed with roasted lamb or duckling.

Jamiesons Run Country Selection Chardonnay 2005

Vintage 2005 for the Country Selection Chardonnay brought sensational ripeness and good acid balance to the grapes, from a season characterised by cool and moderate conditions in February to April. Small parcels of refined, delicate Mount Gambier and generous, tightly structured Adelaide Hills fruit were included in the blend to compliment the elegant, fine citrus flavours derived from the Coonawarra fruit. The Coonawarra Chardonnay parcels were picked early to retain the delicate regional varietal citrus flavours, tight structure and good length.
