Distinguished Langtons Classification. One of Leeuwin Estate's crowning achievements, a statuesque, opulent yet graceful rendering of Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon. The cépage may vary somewhat from vintage to vintage, as inclusions of Petit Verdot or Malbec may serve to flesh out the generously proportioned Bordeaux styling. The highly accomplished team mobilize the fundamentals of vineyard and vinification to assemble a fully endowed Cabernet wine that's so much greater than the sum of parts.

Exceptional Langtons Classification. Great wines are born in great vineyards. At Leeuwin the viticulturist and winemaker work hand in hand throughout the winemaking process. Variations and deficiencies in the individual blocks have not been completely corrected so that the wine reflects the soil. Block 20 forms the backbone of Art Series. The young wine begins with true varietal power of great delicacy which requires up to twelve months lees contact in new French oak to draw out the complexity, losing none of that essential balance in the process.

The vineyards of Leeuwin Estate were established from the ground up with a view to extracting fully the virtues of these splendid mesoclimes. Siblings is an entry level wine, intended for fresh and early drinking, it is nevertheless a highly polished example of the classic and dry Margaret River style of white. The Semillon component is cannily fermented in older oak barrels for complexity.

Margaret River makes famously intense and stylish Shiraz, somewhat more brisk, fragrant and crisp than it's siblings from winegrowing regions further afield. The balmy maritime breezes and cooler nights produce a Shiraz wine reminiscent of the mistral winds of Valley Rhone. Slightly more forward drinking than the estate's flagship editions of Shiraz, Sibling is endowed with layers of radiant olive/plum fruit characters, piquant spice and graceful tannins.
