The White Box property is situated on the eastern slopes of Mt Camel range, atop some of the most sensational Shiraz growing terrains anywhere in the world. So named because the vineyard is sanctuary to one of the largest remnant stands of White Box eucalypts. The viticulture here is completely holistic, achieving a quality of Shiraz wine which can articulate fully its provenance and sense of place.

White Box have come within hair's breadth of Vizy Great Australian Shiraz Challenge Trophy, no mean feat for a boutique estate. Adding a tot of the aromatic Viognier to some of their best Shiraz fruit has translated into an alluringly perfumed wine, solidly structured yet elegant with splendid oak, sultry flavours of red and black fruits, spice and characters of apricot.

Whitebox Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2009

All White Box wines are made from grapes grown to estate vineyards within Heathcote and the Yarra Valley. The fruit is always selected from the most appropriate site depending on the nature and variety of wine. The estate's Chardonnay is crafted from batches of the best Yarra Valley fruit. The cooler climate of the Yarra Valley lends itself to the production of Chardonnay, producing a more intensely flavoured and expressive wine.
