Grapes are sourced from the Brancott sub-region of the Wairau Valley where the soils are predominantly aged alluvial loams containing some clay. The fruit is grown on a two cane vertical shoot positioned (VSP) trellis, the vineyard yields an average of 4.6 tonnes/ hectare. Harvested on the 20th, 23rd March, and the 17th April under settled conditions, a challenging season was redeemed by an ideal autumn, producing a modest crop of ripe, concentrated fruit of exceptional quality
