The district's auspicious orchards flourished until Colin Preece identified the region as an opportune place to grow world class wine. Vineyards thusly planted around the Goulburn billabongs, came to be known as Mitchelton. Now a half century..

Established 1908, Redman's Coonawarra are still made by the Redman brothers from fruit grown to the original family parcels. Halls Gap Vineyard was planted 1969, along the steep eastern slopes and parched rocky crags of Grampians Ranges, at the very beginning of a renaissance in Victorian viticulture. Halls Gap joined the tally of Circe estate vineyards in 2013, whence it yields a..
