Glenmorangie was established in 1843, when William Matheson bought a license to Distill Whisky on the site of a brewery located near Tarlogie Springs. A pair of antique gin Stills were pressed into service and Highland Malt began to flow. Glenmorangie went on to flourish, to this day, one of the world's most distinguished Distilleries.
