Hurtle Walker first picked grapes as a ten year old on the celebrious Magill property in 1900. Apprenticed to the legenderies Monsieur Duray and Leon Mazure, Walker was placed in charge of sparkling wine production for the historic Auldana Cellars at the ripe old age of 21. Grand Anejo Butterfly label Rum can trace it's origins to the village of Angostura in Venezuala during the South American wars of independence against colonial rule. The secret recipe migrated along with the Siegert familt to Trinidad where Angostura Bitters and the extremely fine Angostura Grand Anejos are still made. A powerful and flavoursome Caribbean Rum with pleasing dark amber hue, warranted for a minimum of seven years ageing in American oak barrels.
