Chester Osborn was one of the first to plant Tempranillo in the McLaren Vale as it appeared well-suited to the region, and is a traditional blending partner to Grenache. d’Arenberg uses sticks (vine cuttings) planted into stony soils, the Shiraz component is added for it's bold flavour profiles and aromaticness.
