Xavier Bizot can make wine anywhere he pleases, he is a Bollinger and grew up amongst the Vignobles Superieurs of Champagne. Bizot has chosen to make wine alongside Brian Croser's family, from grapes harvested off three magnificent sites, on two paradoxically varied terrains. Planted to the salubrious Terra rosa soils atop an invaluable archeological dig at Wrattonbully, rich with the undisturbed fossils of ancient Cenozoic sea animals, Crayeres Vineyard was established right across the road from Tapanappa's illustrious Whalebone. The weather here is astonishingly similar to Bordeaux and makes an awesome Cabernet Franc. Xavier Bizot and Lucy Croser are also.. The twin tales of terre a terre»
Originally formulated by John Charles Brown OBE in 1954 and crafted to this very day in the exact same manner, Brown Brothers flagship icon endures as one of the nation's most distinguished single vineyard wines. Mondeuse plantings were brought to Australia in the early 1900s by the legendary Francois de Castella of St Hubert fame, they have remained the most precious parcel of Brown Brothers heirloom vines since the 1920s. At Milawa, Mondeuse translates into an inky, deeply tannic wine, it forms synergies with the sweet fruit plumpness of Shiraz and statuesque elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon to coalesce into a rich, opulent style of eloquence and structure... Established 1973, Woodlands of Wilyabrup were one of the first vineyards in Margaret River, planted with a view to emulating the great growths of Bordeaux. Recipients of the highly prestigious Jack Mann Memorial Medal and Wine Industry Lifetime Achievement Award for their tremendous vintages of all things Cabernet. Assembling the rich Medoc style blends are what Woodlands do best. Painstakingly crafted by hand, to challenge the primacy of the illustrious Chateaux de la rive gauche, very few vineyards yield the quality of fruit that merits vintaging into a statuesque wine dominated by the prettily fragrant Cabernet Franc. Coonawarra cattle graziers since 1906, the Reschke family turned some of their land over to viticulture in the 1980s. Secret Stone
With a plan to hero the premium wines and regions of New Zealand there was no question that our initial focus would be sauvignon blanc from New Zealand's premier region, Marlborough...

"Made from the 2004 vintage, this wine has been passionately created to reflect the distinctive Sauvignon Blanc style for which the region has become well regarded throughout the world."

Secret Stone

A wine almost as rare as the precious greenstone that inspired its name. Found in the South Island, greenstone is crafted into beautiful carvings that are passed on from one generation to the next. Like the land itself, they are much treasured and from this much treasured land comes the finest parcels of fruit which have been selected for Secret Stone.

The result is the Secret Stone Sauvignon Blanc, a wine fresh, vibrant and elegant. Distinctively Marlborough.

Once received at the winery the fruit is de-stemmed, pressed and chilled to 10-12C before gentle pressing. The resulting juices are cold settled for 48-72 hours and racked in preparation for fermentation. Following fermentation in stainless steel the wine is chilled to 0C prior to racking and selection for the final blend. The primary objective being to protect the fresh vibrant characters of the expressive fruit.
