Distillerie Franciacorta was founded in 1902 by Luigi Gozio at Gussago, a town that sits atop the hilly region of Franciacorta within the Province of Brescia. Luigi Gozio began distilling according to traditional methods. In 1930 Luigi Gozio renamed his enterprise Franciacorta to distinguish himself from other distillers of the same name. Since then, Distillerie Franciacorta has continued to expand and to evolve, while always cherishing and nurturing old traditions.
