Ketel One's master distiller uses a categorization known as the 4Fs, fragrance and flavour, finish and feel, defining the characteristics of Vodka in a clear language, to help explain what makes Ketel One so unique. The process begins with the careful selection of the finest European wheat, ground and blended with water to form a mash for fermentation and column distillation. The heads and tails are discarded, keeping only the heart of each batch, to be individually filtered, assembled with the master pot still blend, a portion of the ultra wheat spirit and draughts of the purest water.
