After an exhaustive search throughout Japan to find the purest water, the Master Blender of Suntory's distinguished Yamazaki Whisky, settled on Mount Kaikomagatake to establish Hakushu Distillery. Known as the mountain forest distillery, it lies within a natural endowment of the cleanest streams and lush forests. In complete harmony with nature, a bird sanctuary was also established to support local fauna and preserve the pristine waters which are the essence of Hakushu Malt.
Pale gold colour. Peppermint, melon and cucumber nose. Fresh palate with citric notes, Yuzu fruit characters, grapefruits and lemon thyme. A refreshing finish, lingering with hints of subtle smoke.
