The creator of the finest sippin' Whisky in the United States declared his spirit was equal to the finest Scotch. George A. Dickel was a Nashville merchant who discovered that Whisky made during the winter was smoother than a summer Mash. George Dickel remains the only Tennessee Whisky to be chilled before transfer to charcoal mellowing vats, achieving a cold filtration of the oils and fatty acids inherent in other Whiskys. According to The Book of Classic American Whiskeys published 1894, George Dickel was Tennessee's oldest surviving business to have operated continuously under the same name.
Deep amber gold. Aromas of light caramel, candied fruit, pot pourri and oak. The signature balance of Tennessee Whisky characters on the palate, hickory and dried fruit flavours, leading to a smoky finish with lingering hints of maple and buttered corn.
