The making of Single Malt Whisky is governed as much by law as it is by tradition. Auchentoshan are the only distillery in Scotland to employ triple distillation and have been renowned amongst a discerning qabal of Malt enthusiasts since 1823. Triple Wood is a very special and unique edition of Auchentoshan, matured in three different types of oak cask. Moving from American Bourbon to Spanish Oloroso Sherry and finally Pedro Ximenez Sherry. Three Wood is a rich, complex Whisky with incredible toffee and sherry oak flavours.
Rich golden bronze colour. Blackcurrant and brown sugar, orange, plum and raisin bouquet. Fruits and syrup on the palate, hazelnut with hints of cinnamon and lemon. A butterscotch sweetness adds to the overall complexity. Fresh and fruity finale, with long lasting oaky sweetness
