	Seppelt have secured a superlative Heathcote site. Planted in the mid 1970s, the Mount Ida Vineyards were decimated by the Ash Wednesday fires in 1983. Mount Ida is located in the legendary Shiraz growing region of Heathcote. Devastated by fire, the vines took years to fully recover and resume yielding some of Heathcote's most extraordinary Shiraz. Traditional winemaking techniques, when applied to this dry-grown fruit, produce the intense blend of ripe fruit and black pepper flavours for which the Mount Ida Vineyards are renowned. Mount Ida was matured for twenty months in a combination of new and prior use French oak. An intense, rich wine, immediately rewarding and highly cellarable. Approx 14.5%
	Deep red with purple hues. Aromas of raspberry and blood plum. The palate bursts with concentrated flavours of blood plum with spice and cherry. The finish is long and powerful with rich, mouthfilling tannins and underlying mocha oak.
