	David O'Leary really knows about things Cabernet Sauvignon, having claimed a Jimmy Watson Trophy and being twice named International Red Wine Maker of the Year. Very much a fruit driven Cabernet wine reflecting the idyllic growing conditions of the Clare Valley, from low yielding vines grown to superior sites within the Armagh and Polish Hill River districts. 	Each $19.99 Dozen $239.88	O'Leary Walker is the culmination of two like minded winemakers. David O'Leary worked for Heemskerk and Chateau Reynella, he was group red winemaker for Hardy's and later at Mildara Blass. He held senior winemaking roles at Quelltaller where he launched Annies Lane. Nick Walker took up residence at Krondorf for sixteen years and was also at Yellowglen and Yarra Ridge. Low yielding vines across the very different terrains of the Armagh and Polish Hill River provide the backbone, vinified to small batch winemaking techniques. Grapes are inoculated in small two tonne fermenters and treated to maturation for twenty months in a combination of new and prior use French oak barrels. Approx 14.5%
	Scarlet colour. The bouquet displays powerful jube and blackcurrant fruit. Currant and cassis and regional mint, essences of gum and of clover, secondary impressions of light milky oak. The palate is layered and flavoursome with vibrant fruit leading to a finish displaying wonderful fine, long, bible-black tannins. A serious Cabernet wine to be decanted for breathing. "Intensity and decorum, a gentle giant? Perhaps. It says something about the personality of the fruit that the oak is somewhat subdued and understated. Nevertheless it co-exists in fine balance. A palate of dark, lqueured, brooding fruits is supported by potent but judicious tannins. It finishes nicely to smacks of raspberry and fruit lozenge!" -Case4Claret.com

O'Leary Walker have added a component of choice Merlot, adding mid-palate flesh, toning down the solid tannin structure and bringing the wine forward. Blue Cutting Road was hand dug by Polish settlers whilst waiting for gainful employment in the late 1890s. Situated within the area known today as the Polish Hill River subregion of Clare Valley, it remains a usable summer bush track connecting two main roads and dissects the two vineyards which contribute choice fruit to O’Leary Walker wines.
