Pure Clare Valley Chardonnay, some of it from blocks which can trace a lineage back to the original Quelltaler vineyards, the first Aussie wine ever formally served to the UK House of Commons! Annie's Lane recounts the legend of a local lass who operated a mobile canteen in the Clare Valley, providing sandwiches and warm drinks to harvesters and pruners working in the vineyard.

Annies Lane Coppertrail Cabernet 2004

Copper Trail was a route forged by prospectors following the discovery of minerals at Burra in the late 1840s. The Copper Trail passed through the Clare Valley just south of Watervale, through land on which the vineyards of Annie's Lane today produce some of the area's finest wines. Copper Trail Cabernet is an assemblage of the very best fruit Clare Valley has to offer, vineyards are earmarked for their consistency at yielding the most superlative fruit, parcels are isolated on the basis of the most distinctive expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Annies Lane Quelltaler Shiraz Cabernet 2010

As far back as the earliest days of Clare Valley viticulture, the locals would help each other during the busy times of season. While she was delivering lunches to workers who were pruning vines one winter, Annie Wayman's horse drawn cart struck difficulty in negotiating the muddy track back to her cottage. From that day on, the track has been affectionately known as Annie's Lane. Quelltaler Watervale is harvested from vineyards bordering the famous Annie's Lane, crafted to a fine balance between the richness of Shiraz and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Annies Lane Riesling 2012

Branded in earlier years under the historic Quelltaler label, Annie's Lane is an exuberant Riesling vinified from fruit grown to distinguished Clare Valley sites, including the famous Carlsfield and Sevenhill vineyards. Carlsfield was planted in 1935 and produces fruit with ripe citrus characters, whilst Sevenhill yields Riesling with finesse and dominant steely qualities. Enjoy Annie's Lane with the freshest seafood and all fine faire.

There really was an Annie who lived long ago and vines have been cultivated on both sides of her eponymous boulevard for a century and a half. To this day, mother nature continues to deliver a bounty of the finest fruit to Annie's Lane every year. Harvests of Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc and Clare Valley Semillon are grown to perfection in the vineyard before being fashioned into a refreshing and stylish wine at the Annies Lane wineworks.

Annies Lane Shiraz 2011

The ancient Quelltaler property has endured a multitude of trials and tribulations throughout a century and a half of viticulture. Since the relaunch of Quelltaler as Annie's Lane, there has been nothing but universal praise for what is now considered one of Australia's finest and consistently satisfying range of table wines. A little over half of the grapes are sourced from the historic Quelltaler vineyards at Watervale, the balance being from a fraternity of Clare Valleys growers who have been supplying the historic wineworks for generations.
