Mitchell Peppertree Shiraz 2009

Yes there really is an old pepper tree which grows on the Mitchell Watervale vineyard, a happy coincidence, as the nose and palate exhibits exemplary varietal spice and pepper characters of good Shiraz. Peppertree is full flavoured and has a soft, almost velvety palate, harmoniously integrated and very easy to drink in its youth, with the quality and structure to mature and to develop.

Mitchell Sevenhill Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

A classic Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, an elegant wine of power and elegance, bottle aged for development under the Mitchell estate cellars. The Sevenhill Vineyard has supported orchards and vineyards since the 1860s and was replanted in the early eighties to Cabernet. These vines are now fully mature and yield the Clare Valley's most splendid Cabernet fruit. Even in it's youth, Sevenhill displays magnificent structure, the palate is full of flavour and closes to a firm tannic finish. The essential ingredients of good fruit, warming oak, well balanced acidity and ripe tannins are present in all the right proportions.

Mitchell Watervale Riesling 2012

Careful attention to the health of soil and conservative old style farming practices have proven to deliver a consistently excellent quality of fruit that equates to some of the finest vintages in Clare Valley. Watervale is a very special place within the valley and Riesling is the grape of choice. Mitchell has consistently been one of the Clare Valley's best received Rieslings, the fine dry palate displays classic regional/ varietal fruit characters of jasmine and limes, truly flavourful, culminating in a crisp yet lingering finish.
