Seabrook Pyrenees Shiraz 2006

A warming, western districts Shiraz with strong regional expression and concentration of fruit on the palate. Hamish Seabrook comes from a long line of wine merchants, most notably W.J Seabrook & Son. He has made the most of his family's contacts in the industry to isolate and secure parcels of the finest Pyrenees Shiraz, grown to good vineyards husbanded by the most devoted local growers.

The Seabrook Family have been part of the Australian wine industry since 1878, establishing one of the nation's most esteemed companies, W.J Seabrook & Son. Seabrook Wines re-launced itself in 2005 after several years lying dormant. Fifth generation winemaker, Hamish Seabrook has revitalised the old 1878 family label and, as his forefathers did, is hand sourcing fruit from some of the finest vineyards in Australia. Hamish has worked at Bests Great Western, Brown Brothers Milawa and Dorrien Estate in the Barossa. He is the proud recipient of the Dux Len Evans Tutorial and judges regularly at wine competitions around Australia including the Royal Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Rutherglen.
