A melting pot of flavours achieved through an assembly of fruit grown to choice Shiraz vineyards scattered throughout the cool ripening climes of the Eden Valley, with a few barrels of Mourvedre and Grenache for funk and spice. So named by the winemaking team wild bunch after a few drinks and a think tank.

Despite much success for their small batch wines, Tin Shed are not tempted to increase their production, having chosen to concentrate on creating wines that are subtle and that feature the real character of the vineyard. Rather than produce larger volumes of one particular wine, Peter and Andrew pooled their expertise and played with a new blend of Mourvedre, Shiraz and Grenache. The success of Melting Pot has led to other inspired decisions, again a result of the same techniques – wild ferment, minimal additions and loads of attention. A year's ageing under prior use oaks permits the true terroir of vineyards to shine through and show just how special the Eden Valley truly is.

A delicious deep, thick purple colour. The nose exudes glorious dark heady notes of licorice and black fruits. Sweeter, more complex bouquets of mint, black cherries and currant. Medium bodied with light to moderate tannins, the palate is warm and smooth with lifted spice and floral notes after decanting. A wine of length, softness and remarkable balance.
