Howard Park's Scotsdale property is located at the foothills of the ancient Porongurup range. At 200 to 380 metres above sea level it is among the highest sites in Western Australia. The vines here are nurtured with extraordinary attention to detail. Scotsdale 2000 was crowned by trophy at the Divine State of Origin. Vintage 2004 won gold at the prestigious Great Australian Shiraz Challenge and made the Wine Enthusiast Top 1OO.

Howling Wolves Cabernet Merlot 2008

The majority of vineyard blocks contributing fruit for Howling Wolves are bordered by towering eucalypt trees that influence the grapes to develop distinctive qualities which are a trademark of Margaret River. This is particularly recognizable in the red varietals which take on unique mint and gum leaf characters. A spell of ageing under fine French oak further infuses the palate with vanilla bean and light spice.

Premiere McLaren Vale Shiraz with origins dating back to the 1950s, the subject of copious industry accolades over the decades, including a prestigious blue gold award at the Sydney International. Due to the limited yields of vintage 2009, no Reserve was edition was bottled, so all the low cropping, old vines, dry grown fruit was included in the estate's white label Shiraz, greatly enhancing the depth of flavour and overall complexity. Lodovico and Piero Antinori surveyed the stunning landscapes along the Upper Maremma, among the hillsides of Bibbona, bordering the DOC Bolgheri. They were struck by the similarities of soil between the prosepective Biserno vineyards and Bordeaux, inspiring them to plant Cabernet Franc, the dominant component in Pino di Biserno, joined by varying percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. A rich cépage of the requisite Bordeaux varietals which have found a new home amongst the silty, alluvial clays and rich sand soils in Tuscany's west.

Lodovico and Piero Antinori surveyed the land and were struck by the similarities of it's soils with those of Bordeaux.
