Parri Poggiano is a gentle red wine which drinks astonishingly well with any and every cuisine.
The wineworks of Fattorie Parri are perched atop one of the highest vistas in the Commune of Montespertoli, the panorama below is breathtaking, a vision of agriculture and pastoral grace which dates back centuries. The estate has been committed to a renewal of vineyards through a selection of the choicest Sangiovese clones. A remarkable quality of soils, favourable microclimes and amicable exposure to the Mediterranean sun make the region idyllic for viticulture, so much so that it has received its own classification as Chianti Montespertoli and Vinsanto del Chianti Doc Montespertoli.
Ruby garnet hues. Fruit filled nose of cherries, brambles and glace, licorice, violets and olive notes. A gentle palate of ripe red and black berry fruit, rhubarb and plum flavours, a suppleness and savouryness, all held together by light sweet tannins, seasoned by country herb and lithe, fragrant spice.
