Whiskey
Midleton Very Rare is one of the most exclusive Whiskeys ever produced in Ireland. Exclusively matured in American oak barrels, Midleton is only available in strictly limited quantities as only a small number of casks are personally selected by the Master Distiller each year. An annual edition has been released every year since 1984, thusly very collectable, each bottle is individually numbered and bears the signature of the Master Distiller as a final guarantee of outstanding quality.
Midleton Very Rare varies from year to year. Always elegant and refined, but also unique and individual according to the influences of the season, ingredients and handling. Midleton employ indigenous Irish grown barley, local peats and the fresh waters of County Cork. The distilling process is inimitable and arcane, followed by an extended maturation in hand selected American oak barrels seasoned by years of holding stocks of ageing Bourbon Whisky
Tawny yellow amber colour. The first taste suggests honey and fruits, gently roasted almonds. Midleton Very Rare is aged to perfection, a long and incredibly smooth palate before a lingering finish. "Subtle and complex. Very spicy with sandalwood, discreet oakiness, cereal and peach. In time even more spice and a lovely juiciness. Long and perfumed, spices and oak finish.
