Major Sir Thomas Mitchell left more than just an invaluable bequeth of our nation's most detailed frontier maps. Johann Gottfried Scholz served in the Prussian army as a battlefield bonesetter, before joining the great emigration of Lutherans from Silesia to Barossa Valley.
